UP Board Exam Updates: Correction Process for Student Details

The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has initiated a correction process for student details ahead of the 2026 High School and Intermediate exams. Schools have until October 31, 2025, to amend inaccuracies for students in grades 9 and 11. Following this, a verification window will open from October 28 to November 5, 2025. School principals are tasked with ensuring all details are accurate, as no changes will be allowed post-deadline. With over 52 lakh students expected to sit for the exams, timely corrections are crucial for maintaining accurate records.
 

UP Board Exam Corrections for 2026



UPMSP UP Board Exams: The Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) has commenced the correction process for student educational details for those taking the High School and Intermediate exams in 2026. As per the Board's announcement, schools can amend student details until October 31, 2025.


Educational institutions are permitted to rectify any inaccuracies for students enrolled in grades 9 and 11 for the academic year 2025-26 (exam year 2027) within this timeframe.


After this date, the opportunity to verify and amend educational details—including names, parental names, gender, birth dates, caste, photographs, and subjects—will be available from October 28 to November 5, 2025. This can be done online via the UP Board's official website, upmsp.edu.in, until noon.


Responsibility of School Principals:
The Board has mandated that school principals log into the website to meticulously review all student information and promptly correct any errors. No amendments will be permitted after the designated period.


Council Secretary Bhagwati Singh emphasized the importance of completing this process swiftly to ensure accurate student data for the 2026 board examinations. The council has instructed district school inspectors and relevant officials to disseminate this information widely.


Exam Participation:
A total of 52,30,297 students are expected to participate in the upcoming exams.


In total, 1,01,76,431 students have registered for grades 9 to 12 under the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (UP Board) for the 2025-26 academic session, including 4,894,432 girls. This year, 52,30,297 students will take the high school and intermediate board exams.
