Training Locations and Duration

While IAS officers train at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, UP PCS officers are trained in Lucknow. The training duration for these officers typically spans between 12 to 18 months.

Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management (UPAAM)

The primary training for UP PCS officers, including roles like SDMs, BDOs, and ARTOs, occurs at the Uttar Pradesh Academy of Administration and Management (UPAAM) in Aliganj, Lucknow. In contrast, those selected for the UP Police Service receive their training at the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Police Academy in Moradabad.

Curriculum and Practical Exposure

During their training, officers participate in a foundational course covering essential topics such as the Indian Constitution, Uttar Pradesh Land Revenue Code, Disaster Management, and Public Relations.
