UKSSSC Recruitment 2026: The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has announced a recruitment drive for 398 positions, including Junior Assistants and Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistants, within the Civil and Family Courts under the Nainital High Court's jurisdiction. Interested candidates can submit their applications online from June 22, 2026, to July 6, 2026, through the official UKSSSC website.
Eligibility Criteria
Who is Eligible?
For the Junior Assistant role, applicants must possess a graduation degree from a recognized institution. Proficiency in Hindi and English is essential, along with Hindi typing skills at a minimum speed of 25 words per minute. Candidates who can type in English at 30 words per minute will be given preference. Basic computer operation knowledge is also required.
For the Stenographer Grade-1/Personal Assistant position, a graduation degree is mandatory. Candidates should have a strong command of Hindi and English, with a minimum shorthand speed of 80 words per minute in Hindi and 25 words per minute in Hindi typing. Preference will be given to those who can achieve 80 words per minute in English shorthand and 35 words per minute in English typing. Proficiency in computer operations is also crucial.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on a written examination, followed by a typing/shorthand test and document verification. The selection process includes:

In the written exam, candidates earn 1 mark for each correct answer, while 0.25 marks are deducted for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted or awarded for unattempted questions.
In case of a tie in scores, preference will be given to candidates who qualify in the typing/shorthand test. If scores are still tied, the older candidate will be prioritized on the merit list.
