Each year, numerous students participate in the UGC-NET exam, but only a limited number achieve the prestigious JRF. Conversely, science researchers are allocated ₹12,000 annually during the JRF period and ₹25,000 annually during the SRF phase for research-related expenses.

Steps Following JRF Qualification

Once a candidate secures the JRF, they must enroll in a PhD program at an accredited university or institution. The fellowship payments commence according to the established guidelines. The JRF tenure lasts for five years or until the thesis submission, whichever comes first.
