Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) ATO Vacancy 2026: The TPSC has announced openings for Group-B positions for Assistant Technical Officers (ATO). The online application window will open on May 12, 2026, and will close on June 5, 2026. Candidates interested in applying should do so within this period.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field from a recognized institution. Candidates with an MCA (Master's in Computer Applications) degree are also eligible.


Permanent Resident Certificate Requirement:
All applicants must possess a Permanent Resident Certificate of Tripura (PRTC) as mandated by the government notification dated July 7, 2023.


Age Limit:
As of June 5, 2026, candidates must be at least 18 years old, with a maximum age limit of 40 years. A relaxation of 5 years is available for candidates from Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), Physically Handicapped (PH) categories, and Government Employees.


Selection Procedure:
The selection will occur in two phases. The first phase involves a written examination worth 170 marks, consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) over a duration of 3 hours. Candidates in the Unreserved (UR) category must achieve at least 55% in each subject, while those in Reserved categories need a minimum of 45%. The second phase includes a 30-minute interview/personality test, with candidates selected based on their written exam performance. Final selections will be made based on a merit list combining written and interview scores. Candidates who miss the interview will be excluded from the selection process.
