The vote counting for the Bihar elections commenced this morning, with various parties including the NDA, Grand Alliance, and Jan Suraj competing for power. Interestingly, TMBU has played a pivotal role in shaping Bihar's political scene.

Four Chief Ministers from TMBU

The impact of TMBU on Bihar's governance is noteworthy. Among its alumni are:


1. Bhola Paswan Shastri


He served as Bihar's Chief Minister three times: first from February to June 1968, then from June to July 1969, and finally from June 1971 to January 1972, although his terms were relatively brief.


2. Jagannath Mishra


Mishra, the 14th Chief Minister, also held the position three times, beginning in 1975, followed by a second term in 1980, and his last term from 1989 to 1990.


3. Bhagwat Jha Azad


Azad became the 18th Chief Minister, serving from February 14, 1988, to March 10, 1989.


4. Chandrashekhar Singh


Singh, another notable alumnus, was in office from August 14, 1983, to March 12, 1985.
