Inspiring Journey of Three Sisters from Bihar

Sheikhpura: The challenges faced by these three sisters after their father's passing did not deter their determination. Shikha, Pooja, and Mansi from Lohar village in Sheikhpura district of Bihar continued their education despite limited resources. Their mother, Sita Devi, dedicated herself to supporting her daughters' ambitions. The eldest sister took the initiative to tutor children to cover her educational expenses and pave the way for her future.

Their story is remarkable as they balanced their studies with family responsibilities. Shikha lost her father, Sanjay Singh, a farmer and ration dealer, when she was just six years old. Following his death, the family responsibilities fell on their mother, who managed to educate Shikha up to matriculation. After that, Shikha began tutoring children while continuing her own studies.

Balancing Education and Earning

Shikha taught during the day and carved out time for her studies. The income from tutoring helped her finance her education, leading her to earn an honors degree in sociology. In 2016, she got married, which brought additional responsibilities of managing a household and caring for two children. Despite her husband Anand Kumar being unemployed at the time, Shikha remained committed to her education.

Family Support During Tough Times

Shikha received encouragement from her in-laws for her studies. After managing household chores and childcare, she utilized any available time to prepare for exams. Her hard work paid off when she successfully passed the BPSC TRE-3 exam, becoming a government teacher. Her husband, Anand Kumar, also works as a teacher at a central school in Patna, showcasing their shared journey of overcoming struggles to achieve their teaching careers.

Younger Sisters Follow the Same Path

After Shikha's marriage, her younger sisters Pooja and Mansi also began tutoring village children, using their earnings to fund their education. Pooja earned an honors degree in history, while Mansi achieved an honors degree in chemistry. Pooja married Kumar Pankaj in 2019 and continued her studies even after becoming a mother of two, ultimately succeeding in the BPSC TRE-1 exam. Her husband is also a government teacher.

All Three Sisters Achieve Government Jobs

The youngest sister, Mansi, married engineer Vikas Kumar. Despite becoming a mother, she persisted with her studies. With support from her in-laws and relentless effort, Mansi also passed the BPSC TRE-1 exam. Thus, Shikha, Pooja, and Mansi all became government teachers, demonstrating that no matter how challenging the circumstances, hard work and family support can change one's destiny.
