The Territorial Army (TA) has announced its recruitment notification for 2026, presenting an exciting chance for young individuals nationwide to enlist. This recruitment initiative aims to fill a total of 3,806 vacancies. Aspiring candidates are encouraged to take part in region-specific recruitment rallies, which are set to begin in March 2026, at various locations across the country.
Application Process and Rally Schedule
The recruitment will be conducted through offline applications, so candidates should prepare their documents ahead of time. The rallies will take place in multiple cities, including Amritsar, Jaipur, Delhi, and Meerut, among others.

Eligibility Criteria
Post Details:
The recruitment drive includes various positions such as Soldier General Duty, Soldier Clerk, and Tradesman, each with specific eligibility requirements.
Educational Qualifications:
For Soldier General Duty, candidates must have at least 45% aggregate marks in Class 10, with a minimum of 33% in each subject. For Soldier Clerk, a minimum of 60% in Class 12, including 50% in English and Mathematics/Accounts, is required. Tradesmen must have passed Class 10, while some specific roles may accept Class 8 as valid.
Age Limit:
Candidates should be aged between 18 and 42 years. The minimum physical standards include a height of 160 cm, weight of 50 kg, and a chest measurement of 77 cm.
Fitness and Selection Process
Fitness Test:
The physical test will be scored out of 100 marks and will consist of a one-mile run and pull-ups. Younger candidates must complete the run in 5 minutes and 30 seconds, while older candidates will have a slightly extended time.
Selection Process:
Candidates will undergo document verification, a physical examination, a written test, and a medical assessment. A merit list will be published after all stages are completed.
Salary and Application Fee
Salary: Selected individuals will earn a monthly salary ranging from ₹15,500 to ₹69,400, along with additional allowances such as Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Provident Fund (PF). Candidates must submit original documents along with two photocopies. An application fee of ₹100 is applicable for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC/ST candidates are exempt from this fee.
