The Supreme Court of India has announced a recruitment drive for Law Clerk positions, presenting an excellent opportunity for aspiring candidates. As per the official announcement, there are 90 vacancies available for the role of Law Clerk. The application window opened on January 20th and will remain open until February 7th, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Requirements
Candidates interested in applying for the Law Clerk roles must hold a Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution in India. Furthermore, applicants should demonstrate strong research and writing abilities, along with proficiency in computer skills.

Age Limit
The age of applicants will be determined as of February 7th, 2026. The minimum age requirement is set at 20 years, while the maximum age limit is 32 years.
Selection Process
How Candidates Will Be Selected
The selection of candidates will involve a preliminary examination, followed by a main examination and an interview. The preliminary exam will feature multiple-choice questions focused on legal topics. Those who pass this stage will be eligible to take the main examination, which will evaluate their writing skills. Successful candidates from the main exam will then proceed to the interview stage.

Exam Schedule
The examination is scheduled for March 7th, 2026. A provisional answer key will be made available on March 8th, 2026. Candidates will have the opportunity to raise objections regarding the answer key from March 8th to March 9th, with a fee of Rs. 100 applicable for each question challenged.
Application Fee
All applicants must submit an application fee of Rs. 750.
