The State Bank of India (SBI) has opened applications for 116 Specialist Cadre Officer roles, providing a significant opportunity for aspiring bank officers. Candidates interested in these positions can submit their applications until March 15th.


This recruitment drive allows candidates to secure a position without the need for a written exam; selection will be based solely on interviews.


The available positions include:



  • 12 Assistant Vice President roles

  • 43 Deputy Manager roles

  • 61 Deputy Manager (CA) roles


All these roles are categorized under Specialist Cadre Officer.


A key aspect of this recruitment is the absence of a written test. Candidates will be evaluated through interviews, and a merit list will be created based on interview scores. In cases where candidates have identical scores, preference will be given to the older candidate.


The age requirements for applicants range from 23 to 25 years for minimum age and 35 to 42 years for maximum age, with age relaxation available for candidates from reserved categories as per government guidelines.


The application fee is set at ₹750 for candidates belonging to General, EWS, and OBC categories, while SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempt from this fee.


Specific qualifications are necessary for the roles: Assistant Vice President candidates must have relevant degrees, Deputy Manager (IS Audit) candidates should possess a B.E./B.Tech in IT/Computer along with audit experience, and CA qualifications are essential for Deputy Manager (CA).
