Overview of the Exam Schedule

New Delhi: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released a comprehensive schedule for several key recruitment examinations. This exam timetable was published on January 2, 2026, and includes dates for the CGL 2025 (Tier-II), MTS and Havaldar 2025 (CBIC and CBN), as well as the Constable (GD) 2026 and Rifleman (GD) 2026 exams for Assam Rifles.

According to the announced schedule, these exams will be conducted in various phases and on different dates, allowing millions of candidates to prepare without confusion. The SSC has also clarified that admit cards will be uploaded on the portal a few days prior to the exams, along with information regarding the examination centers.

When Do the Exams Start?

The examination schedule will commence on January 18, 2026, with the first paper, which includes the Skill Test (DEST). On January 19, 2026, the first paper will cover Part I (Mathematical Ability, Reasoning, and General Intelligence), Part II (English Language, Comprehension, and General Knowledge), and Part III (Computer Knowledge Test). Additionally, the second paper on Statistics will also take place on the same day.

Regarding other forthcoming examinations, the Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) exam for 2025 will commence on February 4, 2026. The self-slotting process for this exam will begin on January 15, 2026.
