SSC MTS Result 2026 Overview

SSC MTS Result 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published the results for the Computer-Based Test (CBT) related to the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar recruitment examination for 2025. These results are crucial for selecting candidates for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) necessary for the Havaldar position. The written examination results were previously announced on August 3, 2026.

Participation in the Recruitment Exam

**Over 8 Lakh Candidates Participated**

The SSC MTS and Havaldar (CBIC/CBN) recruitment notification was released on June 26, 2025. A total of 3,619,834 applications were submitted for this recruitment initiative. The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) took place at various locations nationwide from February 4 to February 20, 2026, with 804,633 candidates taking part.

Selection Process Based on Normalized Scores

**Shortlisting Criteria**

Given that the examination was conducted across multiple shifts, the candidates' scores were normalized. Candidates were then shortlisted for the PET and PST for the Havaldar position at a ratio of 1:7 (vacancies to candidates), based on the normalized scores from Session-II of the CBE. The Commission clarified that candidates were considered only for the posts and regions they indicated as preferences in their applications.

Criteria for PET/PST Selection

**Selection Methodology**

Candidates were chosen for the PET/PST for the Havaldar role based on their scores in Session-II of the CBE. To qualify, candidates needed to achieve a minimum of 30% for the General category, 25% for OBC/EWS, and 20% for all other categories.

Those who do not pass the PET/PST will not be eligible for the Havaldar position. However, if they qualify for the MTS role, they will still be included in the selection process. The initial allocation results for both MTS and Havaldar positions will be released after the PET/PST.
