Application Process for SSC GD Constable Recruitment



The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has initiated the application process for the SSC Constable GD Exam 2026. Candidates interested in applying for the Constable (GD) roles in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, as well as the Rifleman (GD) position in the Assam Rifles, can do so by visiting the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in. The application deadline is set for December 31, 2025. It is crucial for candidates to submit their applications before this date. Additionally, the last date for online fee payment is January 1, 2026. A correction window for applications will be available from January 8 to January 10, 2026.

3. Register as a new user.


4. Complete the application form with the required details.


5. Submit the application form.

Application Fee Details


The application fee is set at ₹100. However, female candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) categories are exempt from this fee. Payments can only be made through online methods, including BHIM UPI, net banking, or debit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay.


Selection Process Overview


The selection process will include several stages: a Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Medical Examination, and Document Verification. The CAPFs will manage the scheduling and execution of the PST/PET, Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Review Medical Examination (RME), and Document Verification (DV).
