SSC Announces Exam Dates for Multi-Tasking Staff and Havaldar Positions

Exam Dates Released by SSC



The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the examination schedule for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar recruitment. Candidates who have registered for the SSC MTS Havaldar 2026 examination can find the exam dates on the official SSC website. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 7,948 positions, with 6,810 allocated for MTS and 1,138 for Havaldar.


Scheduled Exam Dates

The SSC will hold the Multi-Tasking Staff examination on February 4, 2026, while the Havaldar examination is set for February 23, 2026. Additionally, the self-slot booking for the MTS exam will commence on January 15, 2026.


Exam Structure

Candidates will be evaluated through a written test, which will be divided into two sessions. The first session will feature 40 questions totaling 120 marks, focusing on Numerical Ability, Mathematics, and Reasoning. The second session will include 50 multiple-choice questions worth 150 marks, covering General Awareness and English. Those applying for Havaldar positions must also participate in a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and a Physical Standards Test (PST).


Details on PET and PST

Candidates who pass the written examination will qualify for the PET. Male candidates are required to complete a 1,600-meter run within 15 minutes, while female candidates must finish a 1-kilometer run in 20 minutes. The PST will evaluate candidates' height and weight, with a minimum height requirement of 157.5 centimeters for males and 152 centimeters for females. Additionally, female candidates must weigh at least 48 kilograms.
