SECR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: The South East Central Railway (SECR) has announced the official recruitment notification for Trade Apprentices (Act Apprenticeship) for the 2026-27 session. A total of 1,644 positions are available for interested and eligible candidates, who can submit their applications online from May 5, 2026, until June 4, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

Applications will only be accepted online through the National Apprenticeship Training Portal (NATP). Candidates do not need to submit a hard copy of their application.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have achieved a minimum of 50% marks in their 10th Standard (Matriculation) and must have passed the ITI examination in the relevant trade. Note that a score of 49.9% is not considered equivalent to 50%.


The age limit for applicants is set between 15 to 24 years as of May 05, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories in accordance with applicable regulations.

The highest number of vacancies are available in the Fitter and Electrician trades, with a significant number also in the Wagon Repair Shop for Fitter and Welder positions. Reservation policies will apply according to Unreserved, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS categories, along with provisions for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen.

Selection Process

Selection Method:


No written examination will be held for this recruitment. Selection will be based solely on merit, with the merit list compiled from the average marks obtained in the 10th standard and ITI, each contributing 50% to the final score. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for document verification.
