SBI Announces Recruitment for Probationary Officers



The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially announced the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO). Aspiring candidates can submit their online applications starting June 18, 2026. This recruitment initiative aims to fill 1,500 vacancies for the PO position. The last date for registration is July 8, 2026.


The examination process will be conducted in phases: Phase-1 is expected to take place in August, followed by Phase-2 in September, and Phase-3 in October or November.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Requirements


Candidates must be aged between 21 and 30 years as of April 1, 2026. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC and ST, and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwD).


Educational Qualifications


Applicants should possess a graduation degree from a recognized institution in India and meet any additional eligibility criteria specified.


Exam Pattern for Phase-1

The Phase-1 exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, totaling 100 marks, covering subjects such as English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The duration of this exam is one hour. Candidates who qualify will proceed to the Phase-2 examination, which will feature 170 questions worth 200 marks and will last three hours.
