Railway Recruitment Board Announces Junior Engineer Openings

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has commenced the online application process for Junior Engineer roles today. Individuals looking to secure a position in the Railways can now apply for the RRB JE 2025 recruitment initiative. A total of 2,569 Junior Engineer positions are available. The application window will remain open until November 30, 2025. Candidates can also submit their application fees online until December 2, and corrections to their applications can be made from December 3 to December 12.

Age Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 33 years of age. RRB offers age relaxation for certain categories: Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates receive a 5-year extension, OBC candidates get a 3-year extension, and differently-abled candidates are granted a 10-year extension.

Application Fees

The application fees vary by category and must be paid online. Applications will not be processed without fee payment. The fee is set at ₹500 for General, EWS, and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, women, and differently-abled candidates are required to pay ₹250.

Selection Process

The selection will occur in four phases. The first two phases will involve a written examination. The initial stage will test candidates on Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science, totaling 100 marks. This exam will last for one hour and thirty minutes, with a penalty of one-third of a mark for incorrect answers. The second stage will be for candidates who pass the first examination.
