The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a significant update for those applying for the RRB Junior Engineer (JE) Recruitment 2025. The application deadline, initially scheduled for November, has been extended, providing candidates with extra time to finalize their registrations. Revised Application Dates and Payment Deadline
The RRB has officially pushed back the deadline for submitting online applications for the positions of JE, Depot Material Superintendent, and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant. Candidates can now register until 10 December 2025, 11:59 PM.
Additionally, the deadline for fee payment has also been extended, allowing applicants to pay their examination fees until 12 December 2025. The Board has advised candidates to avoid last-minute rushes and complete their applications promptly.
Increased Vacancies in Two RRB Zones
A notable aspect of this update is the rise in vacancies. The RRB has revised the vacancy numbers for the following locations:

Correction Facility for Registered Candidates
The RRB has introduced a correction facility for candidates who have already submitted their applications:

- 25 November to 10 December 2025
- Candidates can adjust their selected RRB, post preferences, and zones/production units.
- Changes are permitted only within the originally applied RRB.
- Second (Paid) Correction Window:
- 13 December to 22 December 2025
- Certain edits can be made, but the selected RRB and bank details cannot be changed.
- PwBD Candidates’ Scribe Details:
- Applicants requiring a scribe can submit their details between 23 and 27 December 2025.
Application Fee Structure
The fee structure remains unchanged:
- ₹500: General, OBC, and EWS candidates
- ₹250: SC, ST, PwBD, women, and ex-servicemen
- No Fee: Transgender candidates
Applications will only be processed after successful fee payment.
Eligibility Criteria for RRB JE 2025

- Age Limit: 18 to 33 years as of 1 January 2026
- Educational Qualification:
- A three-year diploma in the relevant engineering discipline, or
