Rajasthan Public Service Commission Recruitment Announcement



The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has initiated the recruitment process for 574 Assistant Professor roles across 30 different subjects in state colleges. A revised advertisement has been published, and the online application process commenced today, 20 September 2025. Candidates interested in these positions must apply exclusively through the official RPSC website, as offline applications will not be accepted.

Background Information

The initial advertisement for these positions was issued on 13 December 2024 but was subsequently retracted due to changes in service regulations concerning Assistant Professors. Approximately 1.70 lakh candidates who had previously applied will need to submit new applications.


Eligibility Criteria and Marks Requirements


  • Applicants must achieve a minimum of 36% in each paper and an overall 40% in the written examination to qualify for the next phase.


  • Relaxations in qualifying marks are available for:



    • SC/ST candidates (5% relaxation)


    • Ex-servicemen and individuals with disabilities, in accordance with the Rajasthan Civil Services (Ex-Servicemen) Rules, 1988, and the Rajasthan Persons with Disabilities Rights Rules, 2018.





Age Limitations


  • General Age Requirement: 21–40 years as of 1 July 2025.


  • Age relaxations apply to reserved categories and specific cases:



    • 1-year relaxation: For posts 1–4, 6–13, 15–26, 28–29 for candidates exceeding the age limit based on the previous advertisement.


    • 3-year relaxation: For posts 5, 14, and 27 for candidates applying under advertisements from 2020–21 or earlier.





Examination Schedule

The examinations are scheduled to take place between 1–24 December 2025, as outlined in the RPSC exam calendar dated 31 December 2024.
