RPSC Announces Recruitment for 574 Assistant Professors in 2025

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has announced the recruitment of 574 Assistant Professors for the College Education Department. The application process commenced on September 20, 2025, and candidates must reapply, including those who previously submitted applications. The examination is set for December 1 to 24, 2025, with updated minimum marks and age criteria. RPSC Assistant Professor Recruitment 2025


The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released an updated notification for the recruitment of 574 Assistant Professor roles within the College Education Department. The application window opened on September 20, 2025. Candidates interested in these positions can submit their applications via the official website, rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in. Changes have been made to the minimum marks and age relaxation criteria. The examination is scheduled to take place from December 1 to December 24, 2025.


New Application Submission Required
It is important to note that this recruitment notice was initially published on December 13, 2024, but was later retracted due to rule modifications. Consequently, all candidates, including the 170,000 who previously applied, must submit a new application. The Commission has specified that only online applications will be accepted.


Revised Minimum Marks Criteria
As per the Commission Secretary, the service rules have been updated following a notification from the Department of Personnel dated September 16, 2025. The Commission will now endorse only those candidates who achieve a minimum of 36% in each paper and an overall score of 40%.


Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) will receive a 5% relaxation in the minimum marks requirement.


Ex-servicemen and candidates with disabilities will also benefit from a relaxation in the minimum marks as per applicable regulations.
Age Limit and Relaxation Details
The minimum age for applicants is set at 21 years, while the maximum age limit is under 40 years as of July 1, 2025.


Additional age relaxation of 1 year applies to posts numbered 1 to 4, 6 to 13, 15 to 26, and 28 to 29, which were advertised in 2023.
For posts 5, 14, and 27, advertised in 2020-21 or earlier, a 3-year age relaxation is granted.
No relaxation is available for post number 30, which has been advertised multiple times.


Moreover, candidates from reserved categories and other groups will also receive age relaxation as per the established rules.


Exam Schedule
The Commission has confirmed that the examination will occur from December 1 to December 24, 2025, in accordance with the previously announced schedule in the examination calendar released on December 31, 2024.
