RBI Grade B Officer Recruitment 2025

The opportunity to secure a position as an officer at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is nearing its deadline. Interested candidates must submit their applications for the Officer Grade B (Direct Recruitment) by September 30, 2025, before 6:00 PM. Applications can be submitted through the official RBI website.

Vacancy Breakdown

This recruitment initiative encompasses three distinct streams. The General stream has the most vacancies, totaling 83. Additionally, there are 17 positions available in the Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR) and 20 in the Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM). In total, 120 positions will be filled through this recruitment drive.

Eligibility Criteria

The RBI has outlined specific educational qualifications for each stream:

1. **General Stream**: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or a master's degree with at least 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD). Those with a CA or equivalent professional qualification are also eligible.

2. **DEPR Stream**: A master's degree in economics, finance, econometrics, or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks is required. Candidates with a PGDM/MBA (Finance) and relevant teaching/research experience may qualify for age relaxation.

3. **DSIM Stream**: Candidates must hold a master's degree (minimum 55% marks) in statistics, mathematical statistics, mathematical economics, or a related field. Additionally, holders of M.Stat. from ISI or PGDBA from ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta are also eligible.

Age Requirements

Applicants must be aged between 21 and 30 years as of July 1, 2025. Those with M.Phil. qualifications can be up to 32 years old, while PhD holders may be up to 34 years old.

The application fee is ₹850 for General and OBC candidates, while SC/ST and PwBD candidates are required to pay only ₹100.
