RBI Vacancy 2026: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced an extension for the online application deadline for 650 Assistant roles. This decision comes after some applicants encountered technical issues during the application process. The new deadline for submitting applications is now set for March 10, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Candidates are encouraged to finalize their applications before this revised date.


The RBI is looking to fill 650 Assistant positions across its various branches located in cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, and Thiruvananthapuram.


Eligibility Criteria


Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 50% marks. For candidates belonging to SC/ST and those with disabilities, passing marks are acceptable.


Familiarity with computer word processing is required.


Additionally, candidates should be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language relevant to the state or region of application.


Ex-servicemen must possess a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution after completing at least 15 years of service in the defense sector.


The age criteria for the RBI Assistant roles are set as of February 1, 2026, with applicants needing to be between 20 and 28 years old. This means candidates should have been born between February 2, 1998, and February 1, 2006, inclusive.


Application Fees


Candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹450, plus an additional 18% GST. For SC, ST, PWD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates, a nominal intimation fee of ₹50 applies, also subject to 18% GST. Current employees of RBI are exempt from the application fee.
