RBI Vacancy 2026: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced an extension for the online application deadline for 650 Assistant roles. This decision comes after some applicants encountered technical issues while trying to complete their submissions. The new deadline for online applications is now set for March 10, 2026, at 11:59 PM. Candidates are encouraged to finalize their applications before this revised date.


The RBI is looking to fill 650 Assistant positions across various locations, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kanpur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, and Thiruvananthapuram.


Eligibility Criteria


Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 50% marks. (For SC/ST and differently-abled candidates, passing is sufficient.)


Knowledge of computer word processing is essential.


Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language of the respective state or region is required.


Ex-servicemen must have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university after serving at least 15 years in defense.


The age criteria for the RBI Assistant positions are as of February 1, 2026, with candidates needing to be between 20 and 28 years old. This means applicants should be born between February 2, 1998, and February 1, 2006, inclusive.


Application Fees


Candidates from General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹450, plus 18% GST. For SC, ST, PWD, and Ex-Servicemen (EXS) candidates, an intimation fee of ₹50 applies, also subject to 18% GST. Current RBI employees are exempt from the application fee.
