Rajasthan Primary Teacher Recruitment Announcement

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Commission (RSSB) has initiated the application process for the recruitment of 5,636 Primary Teachers. Interested candidates can submit their applications online until December 6, 2025.

This recruitment drive is a significant opportunity for the youth in Rajasthan, as it aims to fill teaching positions for classes 1 to 5 in government schools across various districts. The application window opened on November 7, 2025, and candidates can apply through the official RSSB website, rssb.rajasthan.gov.in. The examination is scheduled to take place from January 17 to January 21, 2026, with results expected by March 2026.

Application Fee Structure

The application fee varies by category: General and OBC candidates are required to pay ₹600, while SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and differently-abled candidates from Rajasthan will pay ₹400. Payments must be made online, and the fee submission deadline is also December 6, 2025.

Educational Requirements

Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary (12th grade) from a recognized board with at least 50% marks and hold a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Alternatively, candidates with a B.El.Ed degree and 50% marks in Higher Secondary are also eligible. Additionally, passing the REET Level 1 examination is mandatory.

Age Criteria

The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 40 years. However, age relaxation will be granted to candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with state government regulations.

Exam Details

The examination will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions, totaling 300 marks, and will last for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Negative marking will be implemented for incorrect answers. Topics covered will include teaching methodology, child development, environmental studies, Hindi, English, mathematics, and general knowledge.
