RPSC Teacher Recruitment Overview



The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has opened applications for the recruitment of 500 School Lecturers in the Agriculture subject for the Secondary Education Department. Interested candidates can apply online starting from September 4, 2025, until midnight on October 3, 2025.


Selection will be based on a written examination, with details regarding the date and location to be announced by the commission at a later time.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must possess a four-year bachelor's degree in agriculture or horticulture recognized by the UGC, along with a postgraduate degree in the relevant field and a B.Ed.


The age requirement for applicants is a minimum of 21 years and a maximum of 40 years as of January 1, 2026. Candidates exceeding the maximum age limit on this date will receive an additional two years of age relaxation as per the rules.


Age Relaxation Details

Age relaxation is available for various categories: SC, ST, and OBC/MBC/EWS women candidates from Rajasthan will receive a 10-year relaxation, while women from the general (unreserved) category will receive a 5-year relaxation. Additionally, widows and deserted women are exempt from the age limit.


Salary Structure

The salary for the selected candidates will be determined according to Pay Band and Pay Matrix Level L-12, which includes a grade pay of Rs 4800.


Exam Pattern

Paper-I: General Studies


This paper will last for 1 hour and 30 minutes and will cover topics such as the History of Rajasthan and India, the Indian Independence Movement, Mental Ability, Secondary Level Mathematics and Statistics, Hindi and English Language Proficiency, Current Affairs, General Science, Indian Politics, Geography of Rajasthan, Educational Psychology, Educational Management, and the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009.


Paper-II: Related Subjects


This paper will have a duration of 3 hours and will assess knowledge in the relevant subject at higher secondary, graduate, and postgraduate levels. It will also include questions on pedagogy, teaching materials, and the application of computer and information technology in education.
