New Delhi: The saying 'where there's a will, there's a way' rings true in the story of Anita Deora, a farmer's daughter from Rajasthan. The results for the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 were announced on March 6, revealing that 958 candidates have been recommended for prestigious services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and Indian Police Service (IPS). Among them, Anita secured the 644th rank, bringing pride to her district by achieving a place in the IAS.
Anita's Roots in Agriculture
Anita hails from a farming family, where her mother played a crucial role in her education. Despite the challenges of working in the fields, she ensured that Anita could continue her studies. Her mother also provided financial support and facilitated her move to Delhi for further education.
A Family Legacy in Civil Services
Anita's connection to civil services runs deep within her family. Her uncle, Chetan Deora, is a retired IAS officer, while other relatives serve as senior railway officials, additional district magistrates (ADM), professors, and village development officers.
Decision to Pursue Civil Services After 12th Grade
After excelling in her 12th-grade examinations, Anita decided to pursue a career in civil services. Through relentless hard work and determination, she achieved her goal of becoming an IAS officer. Her success has instilled a sense of pride and joy not only in Bhopalgarh but throughout the entire Jodhpur district.
Anita completed her schooling up to 12th grade at Saini School in Bhopalgarh, where she also topped the block level in her board examinations.
The UPSC interviews commenced in January 2026 and were held at the commission's headquarters located at Dhaulpur House on Shahjahan Road in New Delhi. The interview, also known as the personality test, carries a weight of 275 marks.
According to official information, the commission has withheld the results of two candidates and has provisionally kept the results of 348 recommended candidates.
