Application Process for Section Controller Begins



The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has initiated the application process for the Section Controller role starting today, September 15. Graduates interested in securing a government position within the Railways can apply online via the RRB portal at rrbapply.gov.in. The deadline for submitting applications is October 14, while the last date for fee payment is October 16, 2025.


Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility requirements. Applicants should hold a degree from a recognized university or institution in any discipline. Additionally, candidates must be at least 20 years old and not exceed 33 years of age. Age relaxation will be provided for candidates from reserved categories according to government regulations. Note that age eligibility will be determined as of January 1, 2026.


Steps to Complete the Application

Candidates can fill out the application form independently by following these steps:


1. Visit the RRB application portal at rrbapply.gov.in.


2. On the homepage, click on 'Create an Account' to register.


3. Log in and complete the application form by providing the required details.


4. Submit the form along with the applicable fee.


Application Fee Details

It is mandatory to pay the application fee when submitting the form. Applications will not be processed without the fee. The fee structure is as follows:


- Unreserved, OBC, and EWS candidates: ₹500


- SC, ST, PH, and female candidates of all categories: ₹250


After the Stage 1 examination, unreserved, OBC, and EWS candidates will need to pay ₹400, while SC, ST, PH, and female candidates will receive a full refund of their fees.
