The RRB, operating under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has initiated the application process for a total of 22,195 vacancies across CPC Pay Matrix Levels 1 to 7. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online for these roles.

The recruitment includes various roles such as Assistant TRD, Assistant Operations (Electrical), Assistant TL & AC, Assistant (S&T), Pointsman B, Assistant Track Machine, Track Maintainer, Assistant Bridge, Assistant Carriage & Wagon, Assistant Loco Shed (Electrical), and Assistant P Way. Eligibility Requirements


Applicants must have completed the 10th grade from a recognized institution and possess an ITI or equivalent qualification in the relevant trade, or a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).


Age Criteria


Candidates aged between 18 and 33 years are eligible to apply. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories in accordance with government regulations.


Selection Methodology


The selection process will consist of a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The CBT will last for 90 minutes and will include:

  • 25 questions from General Science and Mathematics
  • 30 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • 20 questions from General Awareness and Current Affairs
Those who pass the CBT will be invited to take the PET, followed by document verification and a medical examination.
Salary: Selected candidates will receive an initial salary of ₹18,000 per month.


Application Process


Applications must be submitted online. The deadline for submission is March 2, 2026.
Application Fee: The fee is ₹500 (₹250 for candidates from reserved categories). A portion of the fee will be refunded to candidates who attend the CBT.
