Punjab & Haryana High Court Driver Recruitment 2026

The Punjab and Haryana High Court located in Chandigarh has announced the recruitment of 25 drivers. The official notification was published on August 28, 2026, and the online application process is currently open. Interested individuals can submit their applications until 11:59 PM on September 18, 2026. According to the announcement, of the 25 available positions, 21 are allocated for the General category, 3 for SC/ST/BC categories, and 1 for Ex-Servicemen. It is important to note that the number of vacancies may be subject to change based on the court's requirements.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must have completed their 12th-grade education. Additionally, they should have studied Hindi or Punjabi at the 10th-grade level. A valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license is also required, along with a minimum of two years of driving experience. Candidates must not have any history of negligent driving convictions.

Age Requirements

Candidates must be aged between 18 and 35 years as of the application deadline, September 18, 2026. Age relaxation will be provided to Ex-servicemen as per the applicable rules.

Application Fees

The application fee is set at ₹1,000 for General category applicants and for SC/ST/BC candidates from outside Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. For SC/ST/BC and Ex-Servicemen candidates residing in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh, the fee is ₹800.

Selection Procedure

The selection of candidates will be based on a Practical Test-cum-Interview. Those who are selected will initially be appointed on a trial basis, with permanent positions contingent upon successful evaluations. The High Court has indicated that appointed individuals may be assigned to work in Delhi or any district within Punjab and Haryana as needed.
