Recent reports indicate that the company is cutting approximately 30,000 jobs, which constitutes around 18% of its global workforce. An X user, known as IndiaNewGen, highlighted the severity of the situation, revealing that a friend working as a senior manager at Oracle reported that out of his team of 20, six were let go. Some teams faced cuts of up to 50%, with an overall estimate of around 20% of staff being dismissed.

The method of termination has been described as harsh and shocking. Several affected employees shared on Reddit that they woke up to emails from Oracle leadership at around 5 or 6 AM, stating that their roles were no longer needed.
