The Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) has announced a delay in the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment examination. Recruitment Overview

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 933 vacancies. The breakdown of positions includes 609 for Sub-Inspector Police (SI), 253 for SI (Armed), 47 for Station Officer (Fire Service), and 24 for Assistant Jailor.


Selection Process

Candidates must clear a written examination, which will be OMR-based. The test will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions, each worth 1 mark. It is important to note that there will be negative marking; 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.


Those who pass the written exam will proceed to the next phases, which include the Physical Standard Test (PST) and the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Following these tests, a final list of successful candidates will be published. To secure a position, candidates must also undergo a medical examination to confirm their physical fitness.
