Eligibility Criteria

Who can apply?


Candidates must meet the following criteria:


1. Must be a permanent resident of Odisha.


2. Age should not exceed 65 years as of the advertisement date.


3. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Odia is required.


4. Clean employment record is mandatory.


5. No criminal convictions or serious departmental actions during service.


6. If married, must not have more than one spouse.


7. Previous service in Odisha Police as ASI/SR/Inspector is necessary.


8. Must have a good or very good CCR/PAR for 60 months prior to retirement.


9. Must vacate government accommodation before retirement.


10. Candidates are eligible for reappointment for one year.


Physical Examination Process

How will the physical examination be conducted?


Candidates will first take a written and physical examination. The physical assessment will be overseen by a medical board, whose verdict will be final. Those who do not pass the physical fitness test will be disqualified from the recruitment process. Only candidates who successfully complete the physical examination will be allowed to proceed further. Candidates must demonstrate physical and mental fitness, including the ability to run 5 kilometers within 1 hour.


Selection Process

How will the selection be conducted?


Candidates who clear the medical and physical tests will be summoned by the selection board for final selection. Those selected will be required to wear the uniform and identification marks as specified by the Odisha Police. Along with the application, candidates must submit two recent passport-sized photographs, educational and age certificates, a dismissal certificate, and a character certificate from two Group-T Gazetted Officers.
