Candidates are warned against bringing prohibited items to the exam center, with strict measures in place for those who do. NEET UG 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an advisory for candidates appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate), detailing a list of items that are prohibited in examination centers. In a social media announcement, the organizing body warned candidates against bringing restricted items and stated that any candidate found in possession of such items would face disciplinary action.

When Will the Exam Take Place?


The NEET UG 2026 examination is scheduled for May 3, from 2 PM to 5 PM. This exam will be conducted across 552 cities in India and in 14 cities abroad. The admit card for NEET UG 2026 will be released soon on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. Candidates must adhere to all instructions provided on the exam day.

What Should Candidates Avoid Bringing?


The official notification for the NEET UG exam states that candidates will undergo thorough and mandatory checks before entering the examination center. According to the official document, applicants must not bring the following items under any circumstances:



  • Any written materials

  • Pieces of paper

  • Geometry boxes

  • Pencil cases

  • Plastic pouches or calculators

  • Pens

  • Rulers

  • Writing pads

  • Pen drives

  • Erasers

  • Log tables

  • Electronic pens

  • Scanners, etc.

  • Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices

  • Earphones

  • Microphones

  • Pagers

  • Any communication devices like health bands.

  • Wallets, glasses, handbags, belts, hats, etc.

  • Any watches or wristwatches, bracelets, cameras, etc.

  • Any jewelry or metallic items.

  • Any food items, whether open or packaged, including water bottles.

  • Any other items that could be used for unfair means.

  • In cases of unavoidable circumstances or medical emergencies, candidates must obtain NTA's approval before bringing any such items.

Candidates should avoid wearing heavy clothing and jewelry to the examination center. It is mandatory to carry the NEET UG hall ticket and a government-issued ID. No candidate will be allowed entry into the exam hall without the admit card.
