NEET PG 2025 Counseling: Choice Filling Deadline Extended Due to Seat Changes
Update on NEET PG 2025 Counseling
The Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has announced an extension for the choice filling period in the NEET PG 2025 counseling process. This decision follows the withdrawal of 169 DNB seats by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). A revised seat matrix and updated schedule will be released shortly.
This update is crucial for medical students participating in the National Eligibility Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 counseling. The MCC has extended the choice filling deadline for the initial round due to new information from the National Medical Commission (NMC) regarding the withdrawal of DNB seats.
The MCC has indicated that additional seats have been removed from the counseling process, and the roster system will be reinstated to ensure equitable seat allocation in line with the reservation policy. A new seat matrix is currently being prepared and will be available on the MCC's official website, mcc.nic.in.
Changes will also affect state-level PG counseling programs, leading to a new distribution of MD, MS, and DNB seats across all states, allowing students to potentially re-select their preferred institutions.
