The Madhya Pradesh Police Department has revealed plans to recruit for various positions, including Constables and Sub-Inspectors. The state government has sanctioned the hiring of 9,662 personnel. The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) will oversee the recruitment process, with notifications for these roles expected to be released shortly, inviting applications.

Details of Recruitment by Position

As per the announcement from MP Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, the recruitment aims to bolster the police force across the state. The breakdown of positions includes:



  • Constable (GD) – 7,500 positions


  • Constable (Driver) – 1,000 positions


  • Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI - A)


  • Sub-Inspector (SI - District Force)


  • Subedar (Steno)


  • Subedar (Non-gazetted)


  • Sub-Inspector (SAF)


  • Technical Cadre (Fingerprint/Armament, etc.)



Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying for the MP Police Constable positions must have completed their 12th grade from a recognized institution. For Sub-Inspector (SI) roles, a graduation degree is required. Additionally, a computer course is necessary for Subedar positions, and a valid driving license is essential for Driver roles. The age limit for applicants is set between 18 and 33 years, with age relaxation available for reserved categories.
