Jharkhand Home Guard Recruitment Notification



The Jharkhand Home Guard Corps has announced a recruitment drive for Home Guard roles. Candidates interested in these positions can expect the application process to commence shortly. A total of 510 Home Guard positions will be filled through this recruitment. Applications will be accepted exclusively online, starting from October 24, 2025, and will remain open until November 7, 2025.


Age Requirements

Applicants must be between 19 and 40 years old as of January 1, 2025, to qualify for these positions.


Eligibility Criteria

The educational qualifications required for Home Guard roles differ based on the position. For Rural Home Guard roles, candidates should have completed at least the seventh grade from a recognized educational board in India. For Urban Home Guard roles, a minimum of tenth-grade completion or its equivalent is necessary.


Height specifications are as follows: Male candidates from General, OBC, and BC categories must be at least 162 cm tall, while SC and ST male candidates should be 157 cm. Female candidates must have a minimum height of 148 cm.


Chest measurements are set at 79 cm for General, OBC, and BC male candidates, and 76 cm for SC and ST candidates.


Selection Process

The selection of candidates will involve a physical examination, a written test, and a technical proficiency assessment. The physical examination will include running, high jump, long jump, and shot put events. The written test will feature 100 questions based on the 7th and 10th-grade syllabus. Candidates who pass both the physical and written tests will then undergo a technical examination.
