This year, Jamia Millia Islamia is introducing a total of 30 new courses across various levels, including undergraduate, postgraduate, advanced diploma, PG diploma, certificate, and diploma programs. The university aims to enhance educational and employment prospects for students in response to evolving demands.
Prospectus Release by Vice Chancellor
On Friday, Professor Mazhar Asif, the Vice Chancellor, officially unveiled the admission prospectus. He emphasized that Jamia is modernizing its educational framework in line with the National Education Policy 2020, which includes a four-year undergraduate program offering multiple entry options for students.
Entrance Exam Locations Expanded
This year, the entrance examination will take place in 11 cities nationwide, with the addition of three new centers: Jaipur, Dehradun, and Kishangarh. Previously, the exam was conducted in cities such as Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Patna, Kolkata, Srinagar, Calicut, and Bhopal, making it more accessible for students.
Fee Reductions for International Students
In a bid to attract international students, the university has reduced fees for foreign applicants in both general and supernumerary categories. A specific fee structure has been established for students from SAARC nations, West Asia, Africa, and Latin America, providing substantial financial relief.
Streamlined Application Process
The university has simplified the application process by categorizing admissions into four distinct groups, making it easier for students to navigate the application requirements and deadlines.

Among the 30 new offerings are specialized courses such as BA Honors in Japanese Studies, BA Honors in German Studies, BA Honors in Human Resource Management, LLM in Corporate Law, BE in Civil Engineering (Evening), MA in Social Work, and MSc in Botany. Importantly, there will be no increase in fees for these new programs.
