IRCTC Hospitality Monitor Recruitment 2026
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has issued a recruitment notification for the year 2026. This initiative allows qualified candidates to attend a direct interview for the role of Hospitality Monitor on a contractual basis. A total of 43 vacancies have been announced for this position.
The selected candidates will initially be contracted for two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension based on performance and operational needs.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality to qualify for this recruitment. Those holding a B.Sc. in Hotel Management or Hospitality from a recognized institution are eligible.
Additionally, candidates with a BBA or MBA in Culinary Arts, or a B.Sc. or MBA in Hotel Management or Tourism from an accredited college or university, can also apply. Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience in the hotel, catering, or tourism sectors.
Merit List and Final Appointment
Post-interview, a merit list will be compiled, and appointment offers will be made accordingly. A reserve panel will also be established. Final appointments are contingent upon medical fitness. Selected individuals must submit a security deposit of ₹25,000 via demand draft prior to their appointment.
Selection Process
Candidates should accurately complete the application form included in the notification. The completed form, along with original documents, a set of attested copies, and two recent passport-sized photographs, must be presented at the interview venue for verification.
During the interview, candidates will participate in a personal interview. Selection will be determined based on academic qualifications and interview performance. Salary and Allowances
Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary (CTC) of ₹30,000, inclusive of all mandatory government deductions. Additionally, a daily allowance of ₹350 will be provided on duty days, depending on working hours.
For overnight stays in other cities, IRCTC will cover accommodation costs at ₹240 per night. Extra allowances will be granted for work on national holidays. Medical insurance will also be provided, with reimbursement available upon submission of necessary documentation.
