However, from this challenging environment, Maksud Ahmed has carved out a unique identity for himself. He chose to leave behind a corporate career to pursue civil services, ultimately becoming an IPS officer. Academic Excellence

Maksud Ahmed's educational journey has been commendable. He completed his early education at a Central School and later earned a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Following his studies, he took the CAT exam, achieving an impressive 97 percentile. He then pursued an MBA in Human Resources. Despite the opportunities in education and the private sector, he harbored a desire to make a significant impact.

Leaving Job to Pursue UPSC Preparation

After completing his MBA, Maksud secured a job. However, his desire to change the negative perceptions surrounding his community prompted him to make a bold decision. In 2013, he resigned from his corporate position to focus on preparing for civil services. Undertaking UPSC preparation without a strong academic background was challenging, but he worked diligently on his strategy and continued to progress.

Facing Setbacks and Persevering

During his UPSC preparation, Maksud faced his first major disappointment when he reached the interview stage in his initial attempt but was not selected. This setback affected him, but he managed to regain his composure. He resumed his preparation, learned from his mistakes, and adjusted his study strategy to better prepare for the next attempt.

Achieving Success in the Second Attempt

In his second attempt, Maksud Ahmed succeeded without any coaching, securing a position in the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS). However, his ultimate goal remained unfulfilled. He did not abandon his dream of becoming an IPS officer and took the UPSC exam again. After persistent efforts, he finally achieved his dream, becoming an IPS officer in the 2016 batch of the Haryana cadre.
