Exciting Opportunity for Aspiring Candidates: The Indian Coast Guard has announced a recruitment drive for the Coast Guard Enrolled Personnel Test (CGEPT) for Batches 01/2027 and 02/2027. This initiative aims to fill 365 positions, including Navik (General Duty and Domestic Branch), Yantrik, and Hygienist-I. Interested applicants must submit their applications by October 21, 5:30 PM, leaving only two days to apply.

The application window opened on October 6. Candidates are encouraged to review the official recruitment notification and visit the application portal to understand the eligibility criteria, essential instructions, and terms and conditions before applying.

Eligibility Criteria for Coast Guard Recruitment:

Each position has specific eligibility requirements:

Navik (General Duty): Must have completed 12th grade with Physics and Mathematics.

Navik (Domestic Branch): Must have passed the 10th grade from a recognized board.

Yantrik: Must have completed 10th grade and possess a diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

Hygienist-I: Candidates must have passed the 10th grade or hold an equivalent ITI qualification.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be between 18 to 22 years old, with specific age conditions applicable based on the position. Relaxation in the upper age limit is available for candidates from reserved categories as per regulations.

Application Process:

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official recruitment portal of the Indian Coast Guard: https://indiancoastguard.gov.in/recruitment. Ensure to complete the application within the specified timeframe and retain a copy for future reference.

Application Fee:

Candidates from General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay an application fee of ₹550. However, SC and ST candidates are exempt from this fee.

Salary Information:

Selected candidates will receive salaries based on their respective roles. For Navik (General Duty/Domestic Branch) and Hygienist-I, the basic monthly salary is ₹21,700 (Pay Level-3). For Yantrik, the basic monthly salary is ₹29,200 (Pay Level-5).

Selection Procedure:

The selection process consists of four stages: a computer-based test, a physical efficiency test, an assessment/adaptability test, and initial document verification. This will be followed by final document verification and a medical examination at INS Chilka, Odisha.
