Himachal Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Notification

For those aspiring for government jobs, there is significant news. The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission has released a notification regarding the recruitment of male and female police constables in the state police department. The HPPSC has confirmed that the deadline for submitting online applications for the constable positions remains unchanged at August 21.

However, the commission has implemented the latest guidelines issued by the state government concerning eligibility criteria for candidates from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

The commission clarified that both the old guidelines issued on June 11, 2019, and the new directives released on June 30, 2026, will be applicable. Under the new regulations, families of trainees/job trainees working under government schemes will be excluded from the EWS category.

No Reservation Benefits

Moreover, candidates whose family members are employed as trainees under any government scheme will no longer be eligible for reservation benefits under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category.

The commission has clarified in its letter that apart from this amendment related to the EWS category, all other rules and conditions mentioned in the recruitment advertisement will be adhered to.
