Updates on Steno Recruitment in Haryana

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has announced an increase in the number of vacancies for the Steno recruitment drive (Advertisement No. 3/2026). This adjustment follows new requests from relevant departments, and an official notification has been published on the HSSC's website. Interested candidates can view the notice online. The changes have led to an increase in vacancies for both Group Number 2 and Group Number 3 positions, along with a revised application start date.

Details of Increased Vacancies

The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, Haryana, has increased the Steno Typist (English) positions in Group Number 2 from 486 to 586, as per Requisition Number 1370.

For Group Number 3, the number of Steno Typist (both languages) positions has been raised from 696 to 702, according to Requisition Number 2895 from the Directorate of State Audit, Haryana.

Additionally, the Junior Scale Stenographer (both languages) posts in Group Number 3 have seen an increase from 173 to 260, based on Requisition Numbers 1178 from Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited and 2897 from the Directorate of State Audit, Haryana.

Revised Application Process Start Date

The application process has also been updated. The notice indicates that the online application portal will now open on 06.02.2026, instead of the previously scheduled date of 02.02.2026.
