Haryana Police Recruitment 2026: Application Deadline Extended for Candidates
Haryana Police Recruitment Update
For young individuals preparing for recruitment in the Haryana Police, recent news brings a sigh of relief. Candidates who have been uncertain about the application deadline can now breathe easier as the Haryana Staff Selection Commission has decided to extend the final date for applications for the Constable Recruitment 2026. This decision follows the announcement of a special age relaxation.
New Application Deadline
Initially, the recruitment process was set to conclude on January 25, but candidates now have until January 31 to submit their applications. The commission has clarified that this extension applies to candidates across all categories. Therefore, those who were unable to apply due to age restrictions now have a significant opportunity.
Reason for the Extended Deadline
The state government has granted a one-time age relaxation of three years for the Constable recruitment. Following this decision, the commission took the step to extend the application deadline. The aim is to provide more eligible candidates with the opportunity to apply, thereby enhancing both competition and transparency in the recruitment process.
Number of Positions Available
This recruitment drive will fill thousands of positions. There are 4,500 posts for male constables in general duty, 600 for female constables in general duty, and 400 for male constables in the Government Railway Police. The distribution of posts according to different categories is detailed in the commission's notification.
Educational Qualifications Required
Candidates applying must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board or institution. Additionally, it is essential to have studied Hindi or Sanskrit up to the matriculation level. The commission has also made it clear that higher education will not provide any additional benefits in this recruitment.
Selection Process Overview
The selection process will be based on the scores obtained in the general eligibility test. Qualified candidates will be called for the physical measurement test and physical efficiency test. Following this, a knowledge examination will be conducted, requiring a minimum of 50% marks for the general category, with relaxations available for reserved categories.
Importance of Timely Application
With the deadline approaching, candidates are advised to complete the application process promptly. Submitting applications with accurate information and documents can help avoid any technical issues. This recruitment presents a significant opportunity to join the Haryana Police.
