Registration: March 21, Saturday, was a day of joy for students in Goa as the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) announced the Class 12 results. The examinations took place from February 10 to February 27, with practical exams completed in January. A total of 92.96% of students passed, showing significant improvement compared to last year.
Girls Outperform Boys
Once again, girls led the way with a pass percentage of 93.93%, while boys achieved a pass rate of 91.89%. Students with disabilities also made a remarkable impact, achieving a pass rate of 95.72%. Now, students must focus on preparing for further studies and college admissions.
Improvement in Overall Pass Percentage
This year, out of 17,283 candidates, 16,067 successfully passed. The pass percentage rose from 90.64% in 2025 to 92.96% in 2026, thanks to the efforts of the board and the hard work of the students. All streams, including science, arts, commerce, and vocational courses, showed commendable performance.
Consistent Performance by Girls
Among the 8,529 girls, the majority passed, achieving a pass percentage of 93.93%. This performance is significantly better than that of boys. For several years, girls have consistently outperformed boys in the Goa Board, reflecting their dedication and preparation.
Remarkable Success of Students with Disabilities
Students with disabilities achieved the highest pass percentage at 95.72%, showcasing their hard work and the board's special arrangements. These results are inspiring and exemplify inclusivity in society.
How to Check Results
Students can check their results by visiting the official website gbshse.in and entering their seat number, school index, and registration index. They can also check via SMS by sending GOA12 or GB12 followed by their seat number to 56263, 58888, or 54242. The scorecard will display their name, marks, grades, and status.
Next Steps for Students
Verification of marks will commence on March 27, 2026. The supplementary exams are likely to be held around April 27. The next year's HSSC exams are expected to start on February 11, 2027. Students who passed should now concentrate on college admissions and career planning.
