SSC Stenographer 2025 Final Results Announced

Final Results for SSC Stenographer 2025: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published the final results for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ Examination 2025. The First Phase Tentative Allocation List (FRTA) has been made available on the Commission's official website. This allocation is determined by candidates' merit and their submitted departmental preferences.

Only those candidates who provided their online preferences between May 5 and May 8, 2026, were included in the final allocation.

Candidate Recommendations:

For Grade ‘C’: Out of 232 available positions, 228 candidates have been recommended, while four vacancies in the ST category remain unfilled due to a lack of qualified candidates.

For Grade ‘D’: All 1,483 candidates have been successfully recommended against the total of 1,483 vacancies. Notably, many candidates from reserved categories (EWS, SC, ST, OBC) qualified under the Unreserved (UR) criteria.

Skill Test Participation:

A total of 8,624 candidates qualified for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ skill test, with 4,907 actually taking the exam. For the Grade ‘D’ skill test, 22,456 candidates were eligible, and 12,564 participated.

In the final allocation process, only the applications of 10,132 candidates who submitted their "Option-cum-Preference" online during the specified dates were considered.

Sliding Mechanism Implementation:

The Commission has introduced a 'sliding mechanism' to fill vacant positions and enhance opportunities for eligible candidates. This allows candidates to transfer to a department of higher preference based on their choices.

Shortlisted candidates must log in to the official SSC website from June 19 to June 22, 2026, to select their preferred venue, date, and time for the sliding process.

Candidates are required to appear in person at the respective Regional Offices of the Commission on July 1 and July 2, 2026.

Important Dates:

Process Date
Slot Selection June 19 to June 22, 2026
Physical Appearance July 1 and July 2, 2026

Failure to appear at the Regional Office on the scheduled date will result in being marked absent and excluded from the final selection list.

Tie-Breaking Rules:

In cases where candidates have equal total marks, the following tie-breaking criteria will be applied:

  • Higher marks in Part-III (English Language & Comprehension)
  • Higher marks in Part-II (General Awareness)
  • Preference to the older candidate
  • Alphabetical order of names
