Today marks the deadline for applications for the Office Attendant positions as announced by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC). A total of 4,388 vacancies are available, and candidates who have completed their 10th grade are eligible to apply. It is crucial to check all details before submitting your application.

Vacancy Breakdown for Office Attendants

The recruitment drive will allocate 1,416 positions specifically for women, adhering to the 35% lateral reservation policy. The distribution of vacancies across various categories is as follows:



  • General: 2,041


  • Scheduled Castes (SC): 627


  • Scheduled Tribes (ST): 53


  • Extremely Backward Classes: 809


  • Other Backward Classes (OBC): 297


  • OBC Women: 123


  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 438



Details on Office Attendant Positions

This recruitment will fill Office Attendant roles across various Bihar government departments. The Department of Fish and Fisheries will have the largest number of positions available, while the Building Construction Department will offer 500 roles.


Eligibility Criteria for BSSC Office Attendant

Candidates must have completed their 10th grade to qualify for this recruitment. The age requirements are set between 18 and 37 years, with exemptions for candidates under the upper age limit. Age eligibility will be determined as of August 1, 2025.
