FIITJEE Announces Fee Refund for Affected Students Amid Class Closures
Fee Refund Announcement
FIITJEE, a premier coaching institute for IIT-JEE, has revealed plans for a proportional fee refund for parents of students impacted by the suspension of offline classes at select centers in 2025. The refund process is set to commence in the final week of June 2026, managed entirely by the corporate office in Delhi, with local centers not participating in this process.
Reason for Class Suspension
In a communication to parents, the institute's leadership explained that external factors and misleading reports led to adverse conditions, necessitating the temporary halt of offline classes at certain locations. Additionally, rumors about the sale of these centers exacerbated the situation.
Transition to Online Learning
To prevent disruption in education, FIITJEE swiftly transitioned to online classes. Through the FIITJEE eSchool platform, students continued their preparation for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, board exams, Olympiads, NTSE, and other competitive assessments. The institute reported significant participation in online classes, ensuring that students' studies remained uninterrupted.
Refund Details and Communication
The institute has committed to informing all parents about their specific refund amounts by June 15, 2026. Starting June 16, 2026, a dedicated email address will be available for parents to seek information or clarifications regarding the refund process.
Future Educational Strategy
Looking ahead, FIITJEE plans to implement a new collaborative model that will involve partnerships with entrepreneurs to operate centers, world schools, and global schools. This approach will replace the traditional franchise fee with a fixed establishment fee and an annual license fee, aimed at enhancing educational quality and management.
Commitment to Educational Excellence
The institute has emphasized that its objective during this "2.0" phase is to create a more stable and improved educational environment, enabling the effective development of each student's potential.
