Recruitment Process and Eligibility Criteria

The recruitment of loco pilots is managed through an examination organized by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Candidates must have completed at least their matriculation (10th grade) and possess an ITI qualification from a recognized institution. The selection process consists of three stages:


1. **CBT-1 (Computer-Based Test-1)**: This stage includes questions on mathematics, reasoning, and current affairs.


2. **CBT-2**: This stage focuses on questions related to ITI trades.


3. **CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test)**: This assesses the candidate's mental and technical skills.


Upon successfully passing these tests, candidates are required to undergo a medical examination and document verification before being appointed as Assistant Loco Pilots.
