New Delhi: For those seeking government jobs in the railway sector, a promising opportunity has emerged. The Ministry of Railways has issued a notification outlining the tentative schedule for the CBT-1 exam for non-technical popular categories (graduate level). The recruitment process will be conducted by various railway recruitment boards across multiple centers. According to the announcement, the CBT-1 exam for graduate-level positions will take place in phases during May and June as part of the ongoing recruitment drive for various non-technical roles in Indian Railways.
Exam Dates and City Details
The CBT-1 exams are scheduled for May 7, 8, and 9, followed by additional tests on June 13, 14, and from June 16 to 21. Candidates will be able to check their assigned exam city and date through an activated link, which will be available 10 days prior to their exam date.
Eligible candidates from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes can also download their travel authorization documents through the same portal. The railway recruitment board has clarified that this information will only be accessible via official websites.
Admit Card and Entry Requirements
The e-admit cards for the exam will be issued four days before the designated exam date. Candidates must download their e-admit cards and bring them along with valid identification documents to gain entry to the exam center.
Before entering the examination hall, biometric verification linked to Aadhaar will be conducted at the exam venue. It is mandatory for candidates to carry their original Aadhaar card or a printout of the e-verified Aadhaar document.
Aadhaar Compliance and Verification
Candidates are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar card information is accurate and up-to-date, including correct name, date of birth as per the class 10 certificate, recent photograph, address, and father's name. Officials have also instructed candidates to keep their Aadhaar card status unlocked in the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) system on the exam day.
Those who completed Aadhaar verification during the application process are also encouraged to recheck their status to avoid delays during the entry and registration processes.
Caution Against Misinformation
The railway recruitment board has warned candidates to rely solely on official websites for information related to the recruitment process. The notice also cautioned against fraudulent agents who may solicit money under the pretense of securing jobs.
Officials reiterated that the selection process is entirely based on a computer-based examination, and no alternative methods will be followed for recruitment.
