Government Teacher Recruitment in Haryana


A fantastic opportunity has emerged for those aspiring to become government teachers in Haryana. The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) has announced the recruitment of 1,672 positions for postgraduate teachers in Computer Science. This recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies in government schools across the state for the subject of Computer Science. Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the PGT positions in Computer Science must hold an MSc or MCA in Computer Science, or a BE/BTech in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT, with a minimum of 55% marks. Additionally, candidates should have studied Hindi or Sanskrit at the matriculation, 10+2, BA, or MA level. It is also mandatory for applicants to have passed the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) or the State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET).


Age Limit

The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, while the maximum age is set at 42 years. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per state government regulations.


Application Fee

The application fee varies based on the category. General category candidates and others are required to pay ₹1,000. For women candidates from certain reserved categories and dependents of ex-servicemen (DESM), the fee is ₹250. Additionally, candidates with disabilities from Haryana are exempt from paying any application fee.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for this recruitment will occur in three stages. Initially, a screening test will be conducted to shortlist eligible candidates for the next phase. Following this, a written examination will assess the candidates' subject knowledge. The final stage will involve an interview. Based on performance across all stages, a merit list will be compiled, guiding the recruitment process.
